CabShare's Goals

• Provide support to independent taxis, such as access to bookings made through our customer booking system.
• Encourage the uptake of electric vehicles.

Branding

You are welcome to use either our branding, or your own. If you as a taxi are already set up with branding, ie. "Joe's Taxis", you can continue to operate under your own brand, and when you appear on the CabShare App, you appear as, for example, "Joe's Taxis".

If a driver needs branding, CabShare can provide our door logos, and taxi roof light. Note our door logos are enough for a taxi to be compliant with being clearly identified as a taxi, which means, where needed, you only need the NZTA approved security camera to be compliant and allowed to work the cities Taxi Ranks and do roadside hails. Uber drivers are only allowed to perform uber bookings through their app, and they can't do private jobs without the camera installed.

Reducing Admin Costs

Your taxi is your business, and to drive a taxi you will have your own TSL. For normal taxi work you would take the payment at the end of the trip. As such you run your own cash float, and Eftpos machine with paywave. The owner of the car needs to be GST registered as our fares include GST. It is only when you perform a job that you accept off the system that you will be charged for our services.

Costs

CabShare charges an 18% commission (not including GST) on account or app bookings performed. There are no fees on your own work or random hails, rank work, etc.

Additional purchases such as business cards, door magnets and roof light are additional.
