Cabshare does not run a phone call dispatch service and as such phone calls are made direct to the drivers or booked via our digital booking systems.

Digital bookings provide us and you with improved booking management.

  • The app should generate a best guess estimate. Actual prices will vary depending on traffic and stopping times.

Standard Tariff
Applies to rank hails

Flagfall $4.00 then
$4.00 per km
Waiting rate $1.00 per minute
minimum fare $10.00

Tour $100 per hour (2 to 4 hours)
Tour $90 per hour (4 to 8 hours)
Tours $700 per day (8 to 12 hours)

A $2 electronic transaction fee applies.


Long Distance & App Tariff

Alternative rate used for customer app bookings and sometimes long distance jobs

Flagfall $3.00 then
$3.40 per km
Waiting rate $1.00 per minute
minimum fare $10.00

Tour $100 per hour (2 to 4 hours)
Tour $90 per hour (4 to 8 hours)
Tours $700 per day (8 to 12 hours)

A $2 electronic transaction fee applies.

 

Out of Bounds

May be applied to taxi rides if the situation calls for it.

For only jobs that 'start' or 'finish' out of the Dunedin Service Zone (DSZ), they incur an out of bounds fee to compensate the driver for an excessive drive to or from the job. This fee will be estimated on a per job basis. It will be approximately $1 per km to and/or from either or both location, if that location is outside the DSZ. The distance will be measured from the center of normal operations, IE. from the Octagon in Dunedin.

ie. Mosgiel to Mosgiel with an average distance of 16km each way equals a $32 call out fee.
ie. Mosgiel to Dunedin with a distance of 16km to pickup can attract a $16 call out fee.

Areas not in the DSZ:

Taieri valley including Mosgiel

Coastal and south of Green Island such as Waldronville, Westwood, Ocean View, Brighton

Harbour west side such as Sawyers Bay, Port Chalmers.

Harbour east side such as Macandrew Bay (Past the Cove).

Areas included in the DSZ:
North East Valley
Ravensbourne and Maia
Fairfield and Green Island, Waverley, Shiel Hill & The Cove

Electronic Transaction Fee

A $2 transaction fee applies to any in car mobile Eftpos payments or in app payments.

Airport Fee

A $3 airport fee may apply to airport transfers
